The Beginnings of Hookipa
Ho'okipa Beach on Maui, Hawaii, inspired the name of Hookipa AG. This connection stems from the times Daniel Gutenberg spent there as a windsurfing instructor. Known as one of the world's most renowned windsurfing sites, Ho'okipa reflects our values at Hookipa AG. We strive to identify and support the best entrepreneurs and companies — not only the champions of today (Unicorns) but also those just beginning their journey (Soonicorns).
Lukas Schleuniger
Investment Manager
Lukas Schleuniger, a tech-savvy entrepreneur and investor, grew up in Palo Alto, California, where his passion for technology took root. Since 2022, he has served as Investment Manager at Hookipa AG, working alongside Daniel Gutenberg to identify and support high-potential ventures.
Previously, Lukas co-founded Red or Blue Labs, a pioneer in virtual and augmented reality, and began his career at Dacuda, a computer vision startup acquired by MagicLeap in 2017. A University of Zurich graduate (Magna Cum Laude, Banking & Finance), he is fluent in English and German.
A hands-on tech enthusiast, Lukas stays ahead of trends in hardware and software, constantly exploring innovative opportunities in the tech landscape.
